At 10 Lower Street on a sweeping bend of the Bure, directly opposite Horning Sailing Club, right in the heart of the village.
Mooring by boat
The beer garden sits directly on the river bank with moorings for boaters alongside. Several guides describe the moorings by the garden as free, but this is one of the busiest pubs anywhere on the Broads and space is gone early in season, so plan to arrive well before lunch.

About the pub
A historic food-led inn with a 17th-century thatched core, eight en-suite rooms and a Cask Marque, part of the Vintage Inns collection. Four real ales include Doom Bar, there are log fires inside and a large riverfront garden outside. Both dogs and families are welcome. The pub famously appears in Arthur Ransome's Coot Club.

Visitors love stepping straight off the boat into the waterside garden and the characterful old interior. The only recurring gripe is slow service when the village is heaving in high summer.
