The Kings Arms, Ludham, riverside pub with moorings on the Womack Water
On Ludham High Street, about five minutes' walk from Womack Staithe on Womack Water, reached off the River Thurne via Womack Dyke.
Mooring by boat
There are no moorings at the pub itself. Moor at the village-managed Womack Staithe, which is free until 5pm with an overnight fee after that, and has toilets and bins nearby. Womack Island and the dyke offer extra space when the staithe is full.
Allow about five minutes on foot from Womack Staithe up to the pub on the High Street.
About the pub
A family-run pub and carvery in the same hands since 1989, with four changing ales, mostly Adnams and Woodforde's, a large patio, a children's play area, Sky Sports and live music. Dogs are welcome everywhere except the restaurant.
What visitors tend to say
The recurring notes are big, hot, well-presented plates, a strong specials board, good value and staff who go out of their way, which makes it a dependable evening ashore after a day on the Thurne.
